Policy Planning, Training and Courses

Drafted project about set up of Welfare and Rehabilitation Board (WARB) for CPMFs to look into the welfare and rehabilitation of CPMF personnel, which was accepted by the Government on 17/09/2007.

Executing projects related to set up of Central Police Canteen for CPMF personnel to provide a wide range of consumer goods to personnel of the forces including ex-personnel and their families at convenient locations at least possible rates without compromising the quality.

On the direction of PMO, introduced the Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme to encourage higher technical and professional education for the wards of widows and CPMFs personnel for pursuing advance and higher education in the field of Medical Engineering/IT.

Prepared policy planning documents related to minimum service conditions for pension.

Planned for organizing and conducting training and development programs in association with external/ internal trainers and consultants such as Vyakti Vikas Kendra (Art of Living), Patanjali Yoga Peeth, Kavaliyadhama Yoga Sansthan etc and successfully conducted.

Supervision of battalion personnel in service training and courses, etc.

Compensation

Taking adequate measures to maintain grant-in-aid accounts for the welfare of personnel.

Processed the matters related to the sanction of Ex-gratia compensation to NOK of died personnel as per the guidelines of the Central/State Government.

Proposed an ex-gratia compensation plan for disabled personnel, which was accepted by the Government during April 2011.

Ensured release of grant to fulfil the requirement of prevention of HIV/AIDS among the police personnel and compensation to next of kins of CPMF personnel.

Higher Education Support - Facility program to guide about Higher Education under Distance Education Program.

Legal Support - During the service employee faces various enquiries due to various reasons. The requirement for proper and institutional legal support, help and guidance has been keenly felt by such employees. Professional Education Support - There is no provision for reservation of seats in various profession colleges/Institutes, therefore, few seats of all technical/professional courses arranged with some discounted fees for the wards of paramilitary personnel with some private colleges.

LIC Ardh Sainik Hope Insurance Saving Scheme (LIC ASHISS) - No suitable financial support is exists for 80% natural death cases in Paramilitary Forces, In Associations with LIC of India a suitable risk cover solution with refund of total premium at the time of maturity and also coverage of disability cases, LIC of India provided LIC ARDH SAINIK HOPE INSURANCE SAVING SCHEME (LIC ASHISS) for the Paramilitary personnel.

Shaadi Support - Finding a life partner within the department will be lead to a happy marriage life. Facility for online search of partner being provided.

Grievances support - Widows, Serving and retired personnel of CPMFs will be provided grievances redress support. It is requested to all that if there is any genuine case and there is no provision under Government rules for help, the same matter may be refer to us for consideration. Our Committee will consider on merit basis and as per availability of sources.

Other support – Other support being developed as per feedback report being received during the interaction with Jawans in Battalions.
